This safe has a unique twist lock that locks the top and bottom of the safe together. The closet light is 8 inches in diameter and 3 inches thick. The inside dimensions of the safe are 7 and 5/8 inches x 7 and 5/8 inches x 1 and 1/2 inches and is divided into 2 shelves. The closet light is a real light and requires three AA batteries that are not included.
